If you're pregnant for the first time, last time, or any time in between. Or you had a really positive experience. Or you had a really difficult birth experience. Or you're caring for an infant. Or your children are at school, but you have found that motherhood has changed you. Or you're a mother and just need to get out and SEE some people.....then pleased feel free to join our lovely group.

* We get together regularly - sometimes once a month, sometimes more

* We have a topic for each month - but sometimes we stray far from it

* We welcome small children

* We're like to chat, and to listen too

* We talk about birth honestly - the raging highs and the really tough slogs

* We're real about motherhood - it's not easy, sometimes it makes your heart sing, we all have different approaches

* There's a good bit of laughing - and occasionally tears too. That's ok, sometimes they're necessary

Here's what founder, Milli Hill, says about The Positive Birth Movement;

"We are a global network of free-to-attend antenatal groups, linked up by social media.

We connect pregnant women together to share stories, expertise and positivity about childbirth. We aim to challenge the epidemic of negativity and fear that surrounds modern birth, and help change birth for the better. We want you to join us as we meet up, link up and shake up birth!

The Positive Birth Movement started as a microscopic little egg and now suddenly we find it’s a strong and healthy five year old – it’s funny how these things go.

What began in 2012 as one small meeting in the living room of writer and campaigner Milli Hill, is now a global network of over 450 ‘real life’ groups, with a massive social media presence too. What began as a grassroots movement is now in the final stages of becoming a charity.

And we just keep on growing. We think this is because we break down the walls that the so-called ‘birth wars’ try to build between women. We don’t hold any one kind of birth up above another. We’re just concerned with every woman getting the best possible birth experience, for her, on that day.

There are around 300 ‘real life’ PBM groups around the world, in 37 different countries. They are completely free to attend and a great place for pregnant women to find information, support and a sense of community.

We have a huge presence on social media too. It’s a great place to ask questions or just read and share information about the latest trends, evidence and thinking in the world of birth."
