Saturday 6th April 2019 - Sevenoaks very first Parenting Show
Picking up Thing #3 from pre-school today, I was handed a leaflet for Sevenoaks first Parenting Show on Saturday 6th April, which I am VERY excited about because, well, I'm speaking there!
I've got the 1030 slot to talk about 'Why Birth Stories Matter'. It's something really very close to my heart, because two things happen when we are fundamentally the more honest we are about WHAT we experienced and WHY. Firstly, individual woman are able to equip themselves adequately, and also, agitators like ME are able to begin to effect change. Too many poor birth experiences are ignored (because they're just chalked up to birth = suffering), or kept silent.
So! If you're a new parent, or about to become a new parent, and you'd like to see what's on offer in the area, this is the place to come. Arrive nice and early and you may even get your hands on one of the 50 free goody bags to be handed out to the first arrivals!
